Business Transformation deals with; Customer Services and Business Transformation; Policy, Partnerships and Performance; Communications and Marketing.

It will support the council in a number of ways including:

· Providing improved customer access to our services by a full “Front Office” for all service areas.
· Building and managing the reputation of the new organisation with key stakeholders.
· Communicating with and informing our customers and key stakeholders on Council activities.
· Leading on key areas of policy such as Equalities and Diversity and Climate Change.

Business Transformation Director

Richard Ellis

Richard Ellis has been appointed Director of the service and brings with him a wealth of knowledge from his previous role as Director of Corporate Engagement and Corporate Services at Bedfordshire County Council. During this time Richard led the turnaround in performance of their central services, that contributed to their improved CPA rating from one to three stars.

Richard joined Bedfordshire County Council in 2006 from Colchester Borough Council, where he was Executive Director responsible for their Customer excellence programme. Previously, he held senior management posts with Whitbread, Stanley Leisure and Carlsberg-Tetley, as well as running his own consultancy business.
