This Directorate brings social care, health and housing together in one place for the first time in Bedfordshire. It will promote the independence, social inclusion and well-being of all the people of Central Bedfordshire.

Adult Social Care, Health and Housing will look after:

· Independent living and care management
· Landlord Services
· Business systems and Market Strategy
· Strategies for Health, Housing, Care and Inclusion
· Well-being through Prevention and Options Services.

Social Care, Health and Housing Director

Julie Ogley  is the Director of Adult Social Care, Health and Housing

Julie’s previous post was as the Executive Director of Community Care for North East Lincolnshire Council where her role included Director of Adult Social Services, Strategic Housing and Safer Communities which she held since 2003.

Julie gained a wealth of experience in local government, working at a number of councils including Wirral MBC, Northumberland County Council and Humberside County Council. Her roles have included being a social worker, Community Care Implementation Leader and Assistant Director of Older Peoples Services.
